Dr. Solaski Daus brings over three decades of dedicated optometric care to our practice, combining extensive clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to compassionate, personalized service. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY State College of Optometry in 1994 and completed a prestigious residency in Hospital-Based Optometry at the Bedford VA Medical Center in Massachusetts.

With specialization in complex eye conditions, Dr. Solaski Daus has particular expertise in glaucoma management, diabetic eye disease, dry eye treatment, and pre- and post-operative care for cataract and glaucoma surgery patients. She also provides comprehensive contact lens fittings and routine eye care for patients of all ages.

Throughout her career, Dr. Solaski Daus has served diverse patient populations with dedication and skill. She spent over two decades at an Ophthalmology practice in Maryland, managing pre- and post-operative care for cataract, strabismus, and oculoplastic procedures. She has also worked alongside leading specialists in glaucoma care and maintained her commitment to accessible eye care as Director of the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans Eye Clinic and as Assistant Professor at the New England College of Optometry.

Dr. Solaski Daus’ commitment to serving underserved communities extends beyond her clinical practice. She has volunteered with Remote Area Medical, providing free eye care to communities in Appalachia for years and to those affected by Hurricane Katrina—experiences that deepened her appreciation for the profound impact quality eye care has on people’s lives.

A proud Hicksville native, Dr Solaski Daus recently returned to the area to be closer to family and is delighted to be practicing in her hometown.
