With over 25 years of experience in the medical industry, I serve as a surgical coordinator dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to both patients and healthcare providers.

My role extends beyond managing complex surgical schedules – I serve as a vital bridge between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional care at every step.

Known for my meticulous organization and warm, compassionate approach, I help guide patients through their surgical journey with understanding and support. My comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures and scheduling requirements allows me to anticipate needs and create efficient workflows that benefit both patients and medical teams.

I take pride in fostering a supportive environment where patients feel heard and cared for, while ensuring our providers have the coordinated support they need to deliver outstanding surgical care. My commitment to excellence and patient advocacy has been the cornerstone of my career in healthcare.

Hi there! My name is Johana & I am a part of our lovely front desk crew.

This year will be my 4-year anniversary with Total eyecare! Yay! When I’m not at my desk, you can find me somewhere in the office having a snack or two. Please feel free to ask questions & get familiarized with the practice. One of us will 100 percent be able to help! Let’s make every customer interaction a memorable one!

Amy Pelle

Billing Consultant

Amy began her career in Medical Billing forty-four years ago. She has been an employee of Total Eyecare for the past 28 years.

During that time, she has handled insurance and patient billing for the office. Helping with coordinating our recent move to a new location has also been part of her responsibilities.

Working closely with the entire staff is an important part of ensuring that patient concerns come first when any questions arise concerning insurance coverage. Amy is well versed in those areas.

Amy and her husband John have been married for 45 years. They have two children and three wonderful grandchildren.

Amy has been a devoted Preservation Breeder of Scottish Terriers for the last 25 years. Involvement in the Scottie community is her joy.

Joe Salpeter

Optician

Joe Salpeter brings nearly five decades of expertise as a New York State licensed Optician to our practice.


For the past 27 years, he has worked closely with Dr. Becker, playing an integral role in delivering comprehensive eye care services to our community.

As the director of our full-service Eyeglass Dispensary, Joe oversees all aspects of vision care, from selecting the perfect frames to ensuring precise fittings. His commitment to outstanding customer service is evident in everything he does, whether he’s helping patients choose their eyewear, fitting contact lenses, or performing expert repairs and adjustments.

Joe’s extensive experience in optometry, combined with his dedication to personalized care, ensures that every patient receives the highest quality service and attention they deserve.
