The retina is located at the back of the eye, it is a light sensitive tissue that allows us to see. Light travels through the lens is focused on the retina, the retina sends signals to the optic nerve, the optic nerve then sends those signals to the brain which allows us to see. At various points in this complicated and delicate pathway things can go wrong.
